Christopher Boone is a 15-year old autistic boy who writes a novel in the style of Sherlock Holmes to try to solve the murder of his neighbor's dog, Wellington.
While interviewing neighbors about the event, he discovers that his father has been lying to him about his mother's "death." Christopher becomes obsessed with trying to solve the murder of the dog and tries to make sense of his mother's "death." He cannot understand at first that his mother is not really dead because he is autistic and doesn't have a real grasp on reality and his emotions. Throughout the book Christopher struggles with his own emotions and his reality. | ||
