Book Review By David Fletcher
Surrounded By Idiots by Michael Gallagher

The biography of political talk radio host Michael Gallagher, whose syndicated program out of New York, NY can be heard nationwide. He tells of his upbringing as a chubby kid growing up in Dayton, Ohio. After his father's death when Michael was 11-years old his mother raised him alone. He stumbled into his chosen vocation while working at a construction company and listening to the talk radio program favored by an older coworker. Working his way up at a local station he made big jumps to Greenville, SC to Dallas, TX, then to Albany, NY.

He is very conservative in his views on politics and delights in sparing on the radio and Fox Television with those holding opposing opinions. He faced a difficult challenge in marrying a woman named Denise with 4 sons whom he met in Greenville, but that was nothing compared to taking on her affiliation as a registered Democrat. The bio is funny, lighthearted and self-deprecating except where the author has had his feathers ruffled by liberal members of the media, Hollywood celebrities, and politicians.
