Book Review By Sandra Calhoune
Nobody Does It Better by Cecily Von Ziegesar

In this installment of the Gossip Girl series Blair, Serena and their friends are up to their usual tricks. It's senior year and everyone is eagerly awaiting their college acceptance letters. Blair is supremely urinated because she has been wait listed at Yale while best friend Serena and boyfriend Nate have already been accepted at Yale. Serena is indifferent about her college acceptances, despite the fact that she feared she wouldn't get in to desirable colleges due to the fact that she had been kicked out of a boarding school. Serena has been accepted to each and every college she applied to, yet she wonders if she truly wants to go to college. Blair is on cloud nine because she and Nate have finally done it. Although Nate previously lost his virginity to Serena, Blair had been a virgin up until she had sex with Nate. Blair worries about their romantic future if Nate attends Yale without her. Nate tells Blair that he will not attend Yale if she doesn't get in. Blair knows that Nate cheated on her on numerous occasions. Freshman Jenny Humphrey is new to the mix and she zeroes right in on the most popular, cool girl at Constance Billard School - Serena. Jenny has a serious girl crush on Serena and wants to almost become Serena. Both Jenny and Serena get a taste of the spotlight when they come models and are featured in fashion magazines. When Jenny and Serena begin dating two singers from the hot rock band, The Raves, their profile gets even higher. As Blair agonizes about her college acceptances and Serena ponders her future, relationships crumble and scandals emerge.
