| The three Baudelaire orphans, Violet, Klaus and Sunny are once again caught up in a series of unfortunate events. Kit Snicket comes to pick them up at the beach and take them to Hotel Denoument where V.F.D. is going to have their meeting on Thursday at the last safe place. While they are there, they have to disguise themselves as concierges to try to find out if the guests are volunteers or villains.
While they are working at the hotel, they come across other people, good and bad, from their other books. They see Carmelita Spats, Esme Squalor, Sir and others they have stayed with. Then during the night, Dewey Denoument comes out of his hiding place to try to answer their many questions, which unfortunately quite a few of them are still unanswered. When they got back inside they saw Count Olaf, who tries to, once again, take the Baudelaires. Count Olaf and the Baudelaires are then put on trial, but end up helping Olaf escape. | ||
