All Around the Town by Mary Higgins Clark

Laurie Kenyon, a twenty-one year old college student stands accused of slaying Allan Grant, her professor. Although Laurie has no memory of killing him, her fingerprints are all over the crime scene, and on the knife used to stab him to death.

Laurie was kidnapped at age four, and sexually and physically abused. Although she doesn't know it, she has developed multiple personalities.   Including one named Leona who had written crazy love letters to Allan Grant.

Laurie's sister, Sarah Kenyon, a talented attorney, and gentle psychiatrist, Justin Donnelly, struggle to defend Laurie. But her abductor, who was never caught, is now a famous evangelist, and is determined not to let Laurie reveal his identity.
