Book Review By Alex Wolstenholme
Hand of God - The Life of Diego Maradona by Jimmy Burns

Jimmy Burns tells the incredible story of soccer player Diego Maradona, the Argentine who rose from the slums of Buenos Aires.

Maradona moves from Argentina to Spain to play for the famous FC Barcelona but it is when he joins Italian club Naples that he becomes famous.

He inspires Argentina to win the soccer World Cup in 1986 and Napoli to win the Italian Serie A a year later.

However, his close association with the famous Camorra mafia of Naples leads to his ever increasing dependency on drugs and the infamous incident in 1994 when he is sent home from the World Cup for failing a dope test.
