Be My Baby by Susan Andersen

New Orleans cop Beau Dupree is counting the days until he can stop caring for his younger sisters and resume his non-existent sex life. All he has to do is catch the Panty Snatcher, who's latest victim was Beau's youngest sister, and then he can allow her to move out. He has speant the last 10 years raising his 3 younger sisters, and is more than ready to live a life without constant female complications.

Beau is not at all pleased when he is assigned the duty of potecting Juliet Astor Lowell, a rich yankee who has come to New Orleans to open a new hotel. At first he tries to goad Juliet into having him pulled from her case by acting obnoxious and taking her to various strip clubs in search of the Panty Snatcher. But Juilet isn't quite as prim-and-proper as he had originally believed. She is fascinated with this new side of life that Beau is showing her. After 32 years of living under the repressing rules of high society, her passionate side is starting to come out. As time goes on, Beau and Juliet are inexplicably drawn to each other, much to Beaus chagrin. The last thing he wants is to become attached to another woman.

As the threats against Juliet become more and more frequent, Beau's fear for Juliet increases. And when the police begin to link her attacker with the Panty Snatcher things get even more confusing. It soon becomes apparent that Beau is on a race against the clock to save the woman he desperately doesn't want to love from the hands of her would-be-killer.
