Ruby grew up with a loving mom in a small, New England community, but when her mother dies of a terminal illness she is forced to go and live with the father who abandoned her at birth. Unfortunately for her, the situation is further complicated by the fact that her father is Whip Logan, a famous movie star who resides on the other side of the country.
Forced to leave her boyfriend Ray and her best friend Lizzie, Ruby sets off with a bleak outlook, determined to hate the man she is going to be living with. It's harder, she finds, than she thought it would be. She likes her father's blustery, gay personal assitant, Max. As she tries to assimilate into a world so different from her own, she slowly starts to make a few friends and is faced with the question: "Will life ever be normal again?" | ||
