Meg Kennedy (Sorvino) is trying to rebuild her life after the death of her finance. She finds a job as a waitress at an Italian restaurant thanks to her grandmother and is taken under the wing of the wisenheimer pro, Raychel (Carey), who also becomes her friend and confidante. So too does another waitress named Kate.

Slowly, it becomes apparent to Meg that the restaurant is a mob front for dope deals. The tinfoil swans being given customers as they settle their bill aren't leftovers, but filled with drugs. Meg learns that to succeed in this restaurant, she has to smile and unflappably endure come ons by the men and peddle drugs as well as pasta.

Soon, Meg is in over her head. She has witnessed a murder and the mob knows how to keep her quiet.
