The author Gerald Durrell is an animal lover and this is one of his
humorous stories. The story starts by a young man, Adrian Rookwhistle, recieving a letter from his uncle and told him that before he dies he was going to let him Rosy. Adrian did not know that Rosy was an elephant. He was shocked when he saw this huge beast. After taking his friend's advice of going and sell Rosy to the circus, it showed Adrian that it was not an easy task to do for him because many times Rosy got drunk. It really liked beer. In his adventures, he faced many problems and also destroyed the Monkspepper Hunt, Lord Fenneltree's party and made a total destruction in Mr. Clattercup's Theater. During his adventures, a train once hit Adrian and after being cured by Samantha, he fell in love with her. The adventures still continued but the story finished with a happy ending. | ||
