Book Review By Fenella
Regency Buck by Georgette Heyer

Judith and her brother are orphaned and very rich and have yet to attain their majority. They go to London where their guardian is living. Judith and the guardian, a wealthy earl, immediately clash. Judith finds him insufferable and interfering in hers and her brother's lives. They can't ever meet without the guardian infuriating or offending her. But she has to obey him to some degree, because she is not yet 21. At one point, she disobeys him in a crucial matter. Their relationship seems irretrievably damaged.
As a beauty and an heiress, Judith has many suitors. If she survives her brother, she will become even richer. Attempts are made on her brother's life. Suspects include her guardian, and other suitors. Suspense mounts as Judith, afraid for her brother and her own safety does not know whom to trust.
Longer than most of Heyer's Regency books. a lot of detail about period culture and style of living that some readers may find tedious. But overall, enjoyable.
