She is soon introduced to the world of ruthless paparazzi. But when Bette is soon linked to Philip Weston, Manhattan's infamous Brtitsh Playboy, things start to go downhill. She begins to appear in a vicious new gossip column, written with the pseudonym "Ellise Insider". Bette meets Sammy, a bouncer to the club "Bungalow 8", whom she often fantasizes about, hoping he will speak of his love.
