Bride to the King by Barbara Cartland

Zosina's marriage to King Gyorgy of Dorsia is part of the agreement between the King's Regent and her father, Arch-Duke Ferdinand of Lutzelstein, to secure the alliance between the two countries.

The King was a disputed rake and much less to Zosina's distress, he saw her as another mean of his uncle, the Regent, to keep on manipulating him as before. Her head tells her to accept her political duty, but how can she deals with her heart which is full of the Regent's images and it is telling her that he feels the same way about her.
