Robert de Langley, known as the lion of normandy, is thought to be dead. But now he suddenly infiltrate the castle, which was stolen from him by the Motangnes, and held his enemy's daughters, Adelise and Jocelyn, hostage.
Trying to reconcile the two enemies, King Stephen decides Robert will get Adelise and his land back in return for punishment of Motangne. Entranced by the outspoken, strong-willed Jocelyn, who is considered the black sheep of the family when compared to her beautiful blonde step-sister, Adelise, Robert intended to have her instead. So Robert secretly arranges for Adelise to ran away with her love interest right in the night before the wedding day, knowing Motange will have no chance to back out of the compromise but to offer Jocelyn to him without suspicion. Sensible and righteous, Jocelyn understands that Robert deserves the right to reclaim his land ownership. | ||
