| Lindsay Moran, just fresh out of Harvard College decides to follow her childhood dream of becoming a spy. She loved James Bond movies and decides to apply at the CIA. After the arduous process of interviews and polygraphs she goes to work for the CIA. Lindsay trains to crash cars at high rates of speed through barriers, jump out of airplanes, learns effective interrogations, and how to travel in alias. The training camp takes place at the “farm” for six months and at the end of training she is then an actual POW of the camp to prepare her for real life situations.
Lindsay is now in her late twenties and in 1998 she becomes a case office for the CIA in Macedonia. She struggles with being so clandestine to those closest to her and becomes unhappy when she realizes that no one is to know what she does for a living. This put many strains on all her relationships and she begins questioning her career choice. After the U.S. invasion of Iraq, she witnesses disproportionate bureaucracy and now no longer feels proud of her position she holds with the government so she retires for a more gratifying private life.
