I Remember Running : The Year I Got Everything I Ever Wanted-and ALS by Darcy Wakefield

Darcy Wakefield was a 33 year old English Professor who was known as a liberal, workaholic, vegetarian who was healthy as could be. The story starts at the end of a relationship that as Darcy looks back wasn't one worth moping over. Darcy decided to pursue the one thing she has always wanted which is a baby. Shortly after she makes this decision she has the following life altering things happen; she meets and falls in love with the love of her life, buys a house and is diagnosed with ALS. ALS also known as Lou Gehrig's disease is a debilitating death sentence.
