| Mia Snow is a crack agent for the Alien Investigation and Removal Agency (AIR) in New Chicago. More than a dozen types of aliens have lived on Earth for about 70 years when this story starts. As an AIR agent she is charged with hunting down and if necessary terminating those aliens that don't follow the rules. Suddenly there are a string of murders by one of the Arcadians, the most vicious of the aliens on Earth. All of the men who are killed are young with dark hair and eyes. When pursuing leads Mia's partner and friend (Dallas) is mortally wounded. Doctors say that Dallas won't live by Mia won't accept that. When the prime suspect Kyrin en Arr suddenly presents her with a way to not only save Dallas but to solve the murders (he claims) she is torn between saving her friend and her ethics. Add to this the fact that she is drawn to Kyrin as she has never been drawn to any other man and Mia is suddenly dealing with feelings while on her job, something that is new for her.
Mia can suddenly sense when Kyrin is near. She feels a sensual pull whenever he is near, and finds herself thinking of him whenever he isn't around. Kyrin one night demands the price of a kiss and this kiss rocks them both of them. Kyrin announces that she is his and that when things are over they will be together. Mia being a strong woman decides she will do everything she can to fight this attraction, which she does until a series of, events find her in Kyrin's house and bed. At this point she decided to listen with her heart and not her head. As the murder of the men is unraveled parts of Mia's past will unravel, which Kyrin is also tied to. | ||
