| The Perfect Revolution is a novel about tomorrow that is already taking shape today. Set in 2013, the novel is told in the form of a journal by Ben Benson, a reluctant soldier who was forced to drop out of college for economic reasons, causing his dream of becoming a writer to be put on hold.
The story starts on the Iran/Iraq border, as Benson's unit is poised to attack Iran, but the arrival of robots known as Perfect Soldiers starts an upheaval in the army, and all the troops worldwide are called back to the United States to take part in a coup d'etat, spearheaded and organized by General Prescott, chairman of the joint chiefs of staff. Benson is sent to his hometown of Royal Oak, Michigan to help the army take control of the country, a country that had slipped into economic chaos. Benson and the citizens of the United States at first welcome the coup, or The Perfect Revolution, but Ben soon finds himself unwillingly slaughtering innocents, the slaughter the real aim of The Perfect Revolution. | ||
