Book Review By Michele Crossgrove
Snowbound by Lisa Jackson

Teacher Bethany Mills is trying to start life over in Portland, Oregon. Her ex-husband, Grant, had cheated on her and embezzled a million dollars from his employer, First Security Bank. Grant and the money are still missing.
Private Investigator Brett Hanson has a job he doesn't want. Investigate Bethany and see if she can lead him to Grant. Brett's stepfather is president and owner of First Security Bank, and he owns the only thing that matters to Brett-his deceased mother's house and land in the mountains around Seattle. Jim Benson forces Brett into this investigation or he will foreclose and sell the property.
In Portland, Brett and Bethany form an uneasy alliance. Brett spends days with Bethany reviewing paper trails. They are mutually attracted, but the pain from her betrayal and the Brett's sadness over his wife's death leave both hesitant to act on their growing attraction. Several suspicious and violent events threatening Bethany's safety convince Brett they would be safer in the Seattle mountain cabin.
Alone in the cabin, they tentatively reach out to each other and make love. However, they are not alone for long! Someone has followed them, someone convinced Bethany can lead them to Grant and the missing millions, and they aren't on the side of the law.
Now in danger and snowbound on the mountain, can Bethany and Brett survive?
