| It was an ordinary day,like any other and a son gets a phone call that his father was dying. The son remembers his father's stories as he is going home. His father was Edward Bloom who was born during the driest summer in forty years. The year Edward turned nine it snowed in Alabama. He never forgot a name, your favorate color or face by the time he was twelve. Flash forward to his faher dying and Dr. Bennett who seems even older then his father tells him there is nothing he can do for Edward. So the son goes in to visit with his father who refuses to tell him anything but tall tales of his life because the truth would not be as interesting. Edward tells various tales as they try not to dwell on the fact that he is dying and as a traveling salesmen he has missed most of his sons life. The son demands to know what the real story behind the tall tales and gets angry when Edward won't tell him. Then Edward's time is up as he has a stroke, sadly the son sits by his bedside at the hospital. | ||
