| After three years Sam and Beth Simmons and their mom return to Oak Island, where their grandfather is searching for a 200-year-old treasure. Mr. Simmons and his daughter had a fight, and they haven't seen each other in three years. Suddenly one day Becky Simmons get's a phone call and the three immediately are packed and on a boat, travelling to Oak Island. What is even stranger is that Sam and Beth's grandfather is not at the pier waiting for them. Their mom tells them that her father doesn't know they are here. Confused, they walk all the way to his house.
When they get there, they are all shocked and disgusted at the state of the once beautiful house. Mr. Simmons spends all his time at the Money Pit that he doesn't take care of the house or himself. Becky thinks her father is losing his mind, searching for a 200-year-old treasure, left by Captain Kidd. She begins to attend secret appointments. Buzz, a long time friend, show Sam and Beth the Money Pit. They are both intrigued. One night Sam performs one of his magic tricks for Beth and Buzz, and he discovers the key to finding the treasure. He points out that everyone is looking in the wrong place, a trick many magicians use, to keep the trick a secret. | ||
