Book Review By Cheryl Flint
A Thousand Tomorrows by Karen Kingsbury

Cody Gunner is one of the best bull riders on the rodeo circuit. Riding bulls helps him deal with his anger at being deserted by his father as a young child.

Ali Daniels is one of the top barrel-racers in the rodeo circuit. She knows this is her last year to compete...because she's got Cystic Fibrosis and its getting worse all the time. So far she's been able to keep it a secret but she's not sure how much longer she can keep up the pretense.

Both are normally loners that avoid others but without meaning to...they become friends. As time goes by, Cody learns of Ali's illness. They continue to fall in love and dream of having a future together.

But the day comes when everyone realizes that Ali needs a lung transplant - if she can survive the operation. Fortunately, Cody is a perfect match. But to give her his lung - means that he may have to give up bull riding.

Will Cody give up bull riding?
Now that his parents are getting back together - can he forgive his father and move on?
Will Ali be willing to accept Cody's lung if he is willing to give it up?
Will these two have a future together.

These are some of the dilemnas this young couple face as the doctor tells them that a lung transplant might give Ali another three years.
