A.J. McCreary is a photographer for her school's newspaper. She is in love with Peter Terris, who doesn't know she exists. She's not doing very well in school because she is spending all of her time looking for the perfect cover shot for the Valentine's Day edition of the newspaper. One day, a cupid shows up. His name is Jonathan, and he can help her in one of three ways: artistically, academically, or romantically. Immediately, A.J. chooses to have Peter Terris to fall in love with her.
At first, A.J. is thrilled. It seems to be everything she's ever imagined. All of a sudden she's part of the popular crowd. Everyone seems to like her. She gets tons of invitations to different parties. It seems perfect on the surface. The only problem is that A.J. and Peter have nothing to say to each other. However, after Peter starts screaming out that he loves her for the entire school to hear, A.J. realizes she has made a mistake. There is nothing she can do. Jonathan has already disappeared. A.J. ties to communicate with him through various cupid dolls, but nothing works. Will A.J. ever escape Peter's stifling clutches?
