Marcus comes up with a plan to catch the traitor by having Alicia pose as his mistress and attend the party in which the King is supposed to be kidnapped from. Alicia agrees and as the couple put on their serade, the begin to explore their passion for one another, and Alicia grows to love Marcus, and he also loves her but does not want to admit it because he still believes her to be a liar. As the traitor manipulates the situation, he makes Alicia look like a liar once again to Marcus, and he wrongfully accuses her of many things, causing her to flee, and managing to kidnap the Royal Four in the process.
