When nurse Tricia Parker returns to her hometown of Virginia for a one month period to visit her grandfather, Gus Parker, she has no idea that she will be running into the love of her life. Fourteen years ago, Tricia fell head over heels with Jeremy Blackstone. Jeremy's family were the owners of Blackstone farms, one of the most profitable horsing farms in Virginia. Tricia had grown up living on Blackstone farms with her grandfather and had always harbored feelings for Jeremy. Gus Parker was opposed to his granddaughter's relationship with the wealthy Blackstone heir and feared that Tricia would be used and set aside by Jeremy. Although Tricia and Jeremy had planned to marry, their love was torn apart by lies and deception. Tricia's grandfather planted seeds of doubt in Jeremy's mind about Tricia. When Jeremy mistakenly believes that Tricia is sleeping with another young man, he leaves Blackstone Farms with a broken heart. Tricia, also brokenhearted, leaves Virginia and soon discovers that she is pregnant. Rather than go back to Blackstone Farms, Tricia bravely gives birth to a baby girl and moves forward with her life. Tragically, her baby daughter is killed when Tricia and her baby are struck by a hit and run driver. When Tricia lays eyes on Jeremy after a fourteen year absence she still feels pangs of the love for the man she has never forgotten. But Tricia also has resentment for Jeremy and for the loss of their baby. Jeremy, a DEA agent, has been wounded in an undercover operation in the jungles of Peruvia. Now, Jeremy's father, Sheldon Blackstone, has asked Tricia to nurse Jeremy back to health for the remainder of her stay at Blackstone Farms. Although Tricia is reluctant to be in such close quarters to the man she's always loved, she cannot refuse Sheldon Blackstone's request. When Jeremy first lays eyes on Tricia he can't believe that the beautiful angel adminstering to his wounds is his one and only love. Jeremy finds Tricia more beautiful and sexy than ever. He is forced to acknowledge to himself that he has never stopped loving her. As Tricia nurses Jeremy back to health, Jeremy wages a war to win over Tricia's heart. As Tricia fights a losing battle against Jeremy's wooing, she is forced to confront the shadows of the past in order to forge a bright future.
