Tory Wells, a young diver recovering from a recent knee surgery, has come to Sundance Ranch to get a job while her leg heels. Having been promised a job at the ranch and needing the money to survive, she's upset when the handsome owner of the ranch refuses to hire her. Without enough money to afford a bus ticket home, Tory begins her walk back to town to look for a job. When she enounters a car full of rude and vulgar teenagers on the road back, she is rescued by the ranch owner, Ethan Reever, and taken back to the ranch where she accepts the temporary job as cook, just until she can earn enough for her bus ticket.
Ethan Reever believes that Tory isn't made for life on a ranch. He doesn't know about her recent injury and thinks she's too "clumsy" when she has trouble getting around or climbing on and off a horse. But Tory is determined to do a good job and enjoy herself as she tries not to anger the boss further. As the weeks go by and Tory becomes more indispensable, Reever must decide if her place is on the ranch with him, or back home in the city where he thinks she belongs. Tory must decide which is stronger, her passion for diving, or her love for Ethan Reever and the beautiful land that he lives on. | ||
