After moving back to South Philadelphia,28 year old Brandy Alexander has just bought the house she grew up in. Now she's broke and jobless, so when an old high school buddy offers to fix her plumbing in exchange for free room and board, Brandy reluctantly agrees. Her reluctance stems from the fact that her old friend, Toodie, is a little on the eccentric side. Her reluctance turns to full-scale freak-out when she finds a dismembered body in a freezer that Toodie had left in her garage. Toodie has gone on the run, but contacts Brandy and begs her to help prove his innocence.
Brandy turns to an acquaintance, the sexy, mysterious Nick Santiago, to help her gather information for Toodie. Brandy's ex-boyfriend, the now-married Bobby DiCarlo, a detective on the Philadelphia police force (who is still in love with her and wants to keep her safe) tries to keep Brandy from investigating this crime, but Brandy is determined to help Toodie. Her life is quickly endangered when the guy who set Toodie up surfaces and begins to terrorize her. To add to Brandy's misery, Bobby's jealous wife is stalking her! Brandy is further unnerved when she discovers the identity of the headless victim. Brandy is scared but determined to help her friend. She is also battling her growing feelings for Nick and her unresolved ones for Bobby. And in-between hair-raising, death-defying experiences, she goes on some of the worst blind dates ever! | ||
