| Dimple Lala is having problems finding out who she really is. She wonders if she's American or Indian (India), she doesn't quite seem to think she can be American Indian. Dimple has a love for photography and she she goes through school with her best friend Gwyn taking pictures with her camera. Gwyn has a love for Dimple's Indian heritage, everything from the sari to the bindi. Dimple doesn't understand what makes her life so interesting to Gwyn.
When Dimple's parent arrange a meeting for Dimple and a suitable boy Dimple can't believe they have resorted to an old Indian custom. When it comes time for the "date" to occur Dimple acts so bored with her date, Karsh Kapoor that she doesn't seem to have made a great first impression. So after the date the first thing she does is tell her best friend what a drag Karsh was. Gwyn and Dimple go out partying at a club where Gwyn is having a fantastic time dancing with absolute strangers and consuming mass ammounts of alcohol. Dimple all by herself at the bar runs into Karsh and begins to have an exciting conversation and begins to think that she might actually like the guy when Gwyn shows up. She decides to start flirting with Karsh and spill the word that Dimple thinks he's a complete loser. Karsh seems to be upset but Gwyn and he are hitting it off and dating. Dimple realizes even more that she is falling in love with Karsh and nothing can ever happen if he is with her best friend. Which causes a argument between Gwyn and Dimple over how Dimple just can't be happy for Gwyn. | ||
