Grace Archer a former Agent, hiding out with her young daughter on an Alamba horse farm...supposely safe from danger; so she thought. The unique bond between mother and daughter, the balance of fear and safety of what they have known and will soon know, as the perils of Grace's past come back to haunt her; and the man who has protected them for years without her knowing.

The skills of her training as an agent, the natural ability to train horses, and a true mother's love; takes Grace on the biggest test of her life. She is tested in ways no mother should ever face, once her young daughter is kidnapped by her adversary. Her struggles in sharing the fact that her former lover wants to share in the rescue of the daughter he never knew, and reliving the passion the two shared that created the child they now fight to save.
