The Collectors by David Baldacci

Oliver Stone is a retired government contract killer living in Washington, DC. When the U.S. Speaker of the House is assassinated, Stone goes on a mission to find out what's really going on behind the closed doors of America's leaders. He soon discovers a chilling connection between the murder of the Speaker of the House and the demise of the director of the Library of Congress. Stone joins up with four of his finest friends to form the Camel Club. It soon becomes evident to the group that someone is selling America to its enemies one classified secret at a time. It isn't long until Oliver Stone and the Camel Club are working their way into a world of high-stakes espionage.
