| After being let go from her corporate Manhattan job and catching her husband naked in their tub with her ex-boss's wife, Ivy realizes that whether she likes it or not, she must forge a new life for herself and her two young daughters. Leaving behind their Upper East Side apartment and lifestyle, they move to the cheaper side of town. Ivy starts her own consulting business helping overzealous and frantic parents get their children accepted into exclusive Manhattan private schools.
