The life of a man, Jason Worthing, who is from a society where Somec, a drug that allows someone to go to sleep and not age, has taken over society by making the rich and powerful live forever. One man, Abner Doon, is intent to destroy the world controlled by Somec, and so colonizes other planets, one of these planets is to be led by Jason Worthing. But Jason faces many challenged along the way, when the memories of every colonist are destroyed and many of them killed before reaching the planet.
