| Anna Brett is a quiet young woman who takes over her aunt's antique business when her aunt gets sick. Anna hires a nurse to take care of her aunt until her aunt has an accident and dies. Anna's antique business fails and her friend Nurse Loman gets her a job as a governess at Castle Crediton. Anna falls for Redvers Stretton, the captain of a ship called The Secret Woman. Unfortunately, he's married to an eccentric woman who wants to go back home to her native island somewhere in the South Seas.
