A Darkness at Sethanon - Riftwar Saga 4 by Raymond E. Feist

The Dark Slayers return, this time with more intensity than before. There is also something dark behind the cult that is more apparent with their increased activity. With the help of a Pantathian (lizard man) priest another Valheru has entered Midkemia. His destination is Sethanon, or to be more precicse the lifestone that lies in the ruined Valheru city underneath the modern city of Sethanon. With the lifestone he can bring back the rest of the Valheru race to Midkemia but in the process kill off all life in Midkemia. Pug must again team up with Macros and Thomas to ward off this new threat and once again bring peace to the troubled world of Midkemia.
