Another in the series of Ender's Game. After the Buggers are defeated all of the Battle School kids (except for Ender, of course) are returned to Earth to resume their normal lives with their families. Within a few months the battle school kids are all kidnapped, all except for Bean who escapes due to a little blind luck. Bean reverts back to his pre-battle school street smarts and goes into hiding, but hiding and waiting it out just isn't Bean's style, especially when he realizes who's behind the kidnappings. With the help of Sister Carlotta (who happens to have the right contacts in all the right places), Bean enlists the aid of Ender's older brother, Peter, and sets out to rescue his friends. Once again Card's excellent grasp on plot and character development make for another great read. | ||
