The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul by Douglas Adams

Holistic Detective Dirk Gently is back working on another mystery. An airport is destroyed and people get changed into vending machines when Thor gets pissed off by a ticket agent and goes ballistic. Thor befriends a young woman who was nearly killed in the airport fiasco and we learn that he's not the same god he used to be. Dirk's going to have to do some awesome detective work to figure out what's going on.
