Book Review By Ed Sloan
Jolie Blon's Bounce by James Lee Burke

Dave, the deranged cop, gets the shit beat out of him, then he and a bunch of other unattractive underclass citizens run around insulting friends and foes alike. The characters all sound like loony tune escapees from a madhouse for religious zealots. Eventually the worst of the bad guys get a load of lead up their drawers while the rest of the characters are sentenced to live with themselves and each other while listening to nuts screaming in the swamp and smelling dog shit burning in a paper sack.
