Book Review By Michael JR Jose
Perelandra - Space Trilogy 2 by C.S. Lewis

This is the most exciting book of any I have read in my life. I could not continue reading at one point as my heart raced out of control. In plot, characters, and power of description is probably equal Lord of the Rings, although utterly different in most other ways.

Ransom, the hero of 'Out of the Silent Planet', is transported by angelic beings to Perelandra, which we call Venus. His has a mission of the deepest concern to the two beings living there who are the equivalent of our Adam and Eve before they fell and were ejected from the Garden of Eden. Perelandra is their 'Garden of Eden'.

The evil that enters their world is from Earth, as is Ransom. His intention is to destroy innocence as before. Only Ransom understands, only Ransom can stop him.
