The main character falls into a deep sleep and dreams. In his dream he finds himself on the outskirts of hell. Not an entirely traditional hell, but one where the suffering may be escaped.
The bus to heaven arrives to take some of the fortunate damned to the outer fringes of heaven. Once there the loved ones who have 'gone before' try to persuade the hell-bound to come into heaven, and ultimate joy. The results are very strange: in some ways tragic, in others utterly joyful. But of course it IS all a dream - isn't it? | ||
