In 1701, Rachel lives with her brother and sister and dad. Her brother finds he has odd abilities and is frightened. A strange young man named Aubrey shows up and gives Rachel a rose. He is a vampire and kills her, making her a vampire too and taunting her constantly. in the present, he kills her favorite animal in the zoo, the tiger shes built a bond with. she wants revenge, but she's afraid of Aubrey.
