| Mr. M. Randle Trundle, the CEO of a New York conglomerate, is beyond outraged. Somebody messed with his minor league baseball team - The Bayport Schooners – and he is taking it personally. He hires Harry Mickey Shorts, an unconventional, street-wise private investigator, to find out what caused the suspicious collapse of his team during its initial season.
