Book Review By Tina Loflin
Dragonsinger - Dragonriders of Pern 4 by Anne McCaffrey

Menolly, once of Half-Circle Sea Hold, is now at Fort Hold, having been rescued from Thread (deadly spores that consume every living thing) after a race to flee them. She tries to make a life in a larger, more sophisticated society--she is now a junior apprentice Harper. That does not solve her problems. She has to deal now with a bullying Holder's daughter, Pona. As the first female apprentice Harper, Menolly has a lot bearing on her young shoulders.
