In "The Silver Wolf," a young woman named Regeane struggles to cope with being imprisoned by her uncle. She is being kept because she is able to turn into a wolf, which her uncle thinks is dangerous. However, he manages to get her betrothed to a wealthy mountain lord, which she becomes frightened of. Eventually she escapes and enjoys her new freedom as both woman and wolf. She befriends a courtesan named Lucilla who tells Regeane to marry the mountain lord. Soon she becomes involved in a politcal power struggle between Lucilla's friend the pope and the Cardinal of the church. However, Regeane's uncle still searches for her and becomes so angry that he threatens to tell everyone about her secret. Can Regeane live live freely as woman and wolf? | ||
