Book Review By sarebear
Peyton Place by Grace Metalious

The book centers around several small town people. One is an aspiring writer who idiolizes a father she never knew. One is a victim of abuse by her father and neglect by her mother. Throughout the book there are small town themes; rich vs. poor, sex, and small town prejudice. The characters all struggle with defining who they are in a time when the roles of men and women were changing.
