True Justice is a novel on 20th Century infanticide, or the murder of an infant. The story is told through Butch Karp and his wife Marlene Ciampi. Karp is the Assistant District Attorney for New York County. He has to prosecute a fifteen year old mother who threw her baby out of the window. Marlene was a security guard until she killed the abusive boyfriend of her client. She feels bad that she killed another person so she decides to help a friend and re-enter herself into law. The story is packed with issues of legality, morality, and violence.
