The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

A ghost hound has haunted the Baskerville family since the evil Hugo Baskerville was murdered by it. The locals say it is the devil himself. The case is brought before Sherlock Holmes when the new owner of the ancestral estate is afraid for his life, and he takes it. An investigation proceeds and the mystery is solved by the Brilliant Holmes, with no ghosts to be seen or heard from. The rest, you need to find out for yourself.
