Ribeye the Bullbarian and the Jewel of Baloni by Harry McLaughlin

Ribeye is a legendary Bullbarian warrior living in an Iron Age world of long ago. He and his kid brother, eight year old Cubesteak, depart the rolling green pastures of Bullbaria on a quest to find their long lost father Flanksteak. Along the way, Ribeye takes up the task of teaching his overly-modern little brother how to be a true, uncivilized Bullbarian warrior. The two are quickly detoured from their quest as they find themselves smack in the middle of a true Bullbarian's worst nightmare… civilization. To complicate matters further, a wizard ‘wanna-be' named Suvlaki gets his hoofs on the fabled Jewel of Baloni, an ancient artifact that allows him to wield power undreamed of against an unsuspecting land. In an age where heroes are hard to come by, the Bullbarians must decide; do they battle the wizard? Or do they continue their quest, leaving the helpless ‘civvies' to fend for themselves?
