Book Review By Angie Mumford
Elmo Jackson Man of Action by B.J. Nybo

An eleven year old boy named Elmo Jackson discovers he comes from a family with a vast superhero history. Imagination becomes his number one superhero strength. Therefore, when he changes or "renovates" into his superhero self, Elmo's hair turns into a plastic like substance to protect his brain. Elmo rids the streets of Albatross (his home town) with the help of three friends: Hillary and Harriet Horne (they become Hornet ... Elmo's transportation) and Cabbot Robert (he becomes Carrot Bob ... Elmo's primary weaponry source). Elmo eventually squares off with Marvin the Mean Guy, the primary villain who discovers Elmo's secret and becomes an evil superhero.
