Although Selena definitely feels attracted to the vampire Istvan, she is very resentful of the fact that she doesn't like him and she didn't ask for this life--being tied to him permanently. She has joined an online group of other vampire companions who feel the same. When one of them shows up in Chicago, demanding that Selena help, Selena is a little freaked out by the crazy woman. As she discovers how the woman was driven insane by an old vampire taking over her vampire's nest, Selena becomes even more determined to "revamp" the companion system. However, when she discovers that the same vampire that drove the other companion crazy intends to take Selena's cousin, she has to kick the revolution into high gear. So she and the other rebel companions set out to kill off the vampire that is trying to get to Selena's cousin ... or does he just want Selena? | ||
