The Trail to Seven Pines by Louis L'Amour

Hopalong Cassidy stumbled upon the robbed stagecoach just outside of Seven Pines. When Cassidy decided to investigate he realizes the stagecoach robbery is just a part of the tangled web of deceit in the town. Somehow the robbery is also connected to a budding range war between the Rocking R ranch and ruthless John Gore. Cassidy is determined to find the truth and soon realizes that Gore is a mere pawn for an even greater villian - the crazed gunman, Clarry Jacks. To get out of Seven Pines alive, Cassidy needs to stop the range war before it starts and live through a showdown with Jacks. Hopalong will need quick thinking and an even quicker draw.
